Update: I Got a Job

It’s true. I have accepted a new role as a product manager for a large logistics company in the United States.

In many ways, I’m ecstatic. I’ll have the opportunity to work on a great team, learn new things, and continue building my knowledge on providing value to customers. On the other hand, I feel guilty. I’ve met many great people trying to get back into the workforce who unfortunately are still looking for a job.

Today, the job market is incredibly challenging. Mass layoffs, high interest rates, and questionable inflation have made finding stable and meaningful work very difficult. I feel like I’ve been thrown a life raft amongst thousands of people treading water.

And then there is the podcast. I have had a tremendous amount of fun crafting episodes of First Dollar Academy and speaking with business owners from different backgrounds, industries, and stages. FDA has provided an outlet for me to share my creativity and drive towards a purpose while being unemployed.

However, if there is one thing I’ve learned from speaking with so many successful entrepreneurs it’s that success requires focus. As I embark on a new journey in a different industry I realize that my focus will be needed to achieve company goals and be successful in my new role. Perhaps spending 20+ hours preparing content each week may not be the most efficient way to get there.

Thus, I’m taking a short break from podcasting to ramp up at my new company and will return with new episodes in 2025. Hopefully, you’ll continue on the journey with me as I speak with entrepreneurs to create the best template to start your own business.

Either way, I’m incredibly grateful to you for listening. FDA was an experiment that turned into a passion project and I’m incredibly excited about the future and how the show will evolve. In the meantime, I hope to gain more experience in the workforce to make the show much better and useful to many more.

Your support has been incredibly inspiring and humbling. Whyever you are listening, I thank you.

See you in 2025!
